Terms of service

The service

Chatsoro provides a chatbot that is added to a business website. It indexes website content you nominate, answers visitor questions using that content and your written instructions, records conversations, and can capture enquiry details from visitors who choose to provide them.

These terms apply to the chatsoro.com website and to use of the Chatsoro service. By using either, you agree to them.

Early access

Chatsoro is in early access. Features, allowances and prices are provisional and may change while the product develops. Where a change affects your plan, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Early access also means the service is not covered by an uptime commitment or a support response time. We will tell you what we can commit to when that changes.

Your content and your responsibility for it

You are responsible for the website content and instructions the chatbot draws on. You confirm that you have the right to have that content indexed and used to answer questions, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

The chatbot answers from what you give it. If your published information is out of date, incomplete or wrong, the answers will reflect that. Keeping the source content accurate, and asking for a re-index when it changes, is your responsibility.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us permission to process, index and store it for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Answers are generated, and are not guaranteed

Chatsoro uses language models to generate answers. It is designed to keep answers grounded in your indexed content, but no system of this kind is correct every time. Answers may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

Chatsoro does not guarantee that any individual answer is accurate, and answers are not professional advice. Do not use the chatbot as the only source for anything where an error would matter, such as legal, medical, financial, safety or regulatory questions, and configure your instructions so those questions reach a person.

Anything a chatbot says on your website is published by you to your visitors. Reviewing what it is telling people, and correcting the source content when it is wrong, is part of running it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Chatsoro to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so
• mislead people about who they are talking to or who operates the chatbot
• publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing or infringing
• collect sensitive personal information through the chatbot
• work around allowances, rate limits or domain restrictions
• probe, overload or interfere with the service or its providers
• resell access to the service without agreeing that with us first

Plans, allowances and limits

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI replies, a number of chatbots and websites, and a limit on indexed pages. One AI reply is one answer generated by the chatbot.

If you reach your allowance, replies may be paused for the remainder of the billing month. Additional usage is arranged in advance. Chatsoro does not apply automatic overage charges to your account.

Rate limits apply to protect the service, and a chatbot may be disabled temporarily if usage patterns suggest abuse.

Payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are provisional during early access. Plans are arranged with us directly, as there is no checkout on this website yet. Monthly plans are billed each month, and annual plans are a single payment covering twelve months.

Full payment terms, including invoicing, taxes, refunds and cancellation, will be set out here and agreed with you before any billing begins.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or disable a chatbot where it is being used in breach of these terms, where usage threatens the stability of the service, or where an account is unpaid. Where it is practical to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

You can stop using Chatsoro at any time by removing the script from your website and telling us to close the account. We can end an account by giving you reasonable notice.

On closure, your chatbot stops answering and your indexed content and records are removed in line with the privacy notice. Ask before closing if you want an export of your conversations or captured leads.

Intellectual property

Chatsoro, including the software, the widget, the website and the brand, remains ours. You are given permission to use the service while your account is active, and nothing here transfers ownership of it to you.

Your website content, your instructions and the conversations and enquiries recorded for your chatbot remain yours.

On the Starter plan a Chatsoro attribution is shown in the widget. On Growth and Pro that attribution can be removed.

Liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. Chatsoro is not responsible for business decisions made on the basis of a generated answer, for the accuracy of the content you supply, or for losses arising from your use of the service, to the extent the law allows that position.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. The full liability wording is being reviewed and will be set out here before general availability.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as the service develops. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current wording took effect, and material changes affecting an active plan will be notified to you.
